Challenges

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager / Assistant Business Development Manager will work closely with the Spring HK Sales Team.

The main purpose of this position is to capture new customers and new market opportunities for accelerated growth. Understanding changes in the competitive environment, customer needs and regulatory compliance are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, analyze and recommend business solutions to major accounts from e-platforms, consolidators and direct e-sellers.
  • Make sales plans and meet the sales targets given by the company, ensuring continuous growth and maximizing returns.
  • Obtain information of market trends and customer needs, therefore providing insights to the management, with recommendations.
  • Establish a business pipeline in parallel with sales plan, ensuring sales force efficiency and healthy new business development in line with sales and strategic plans.
  • Maintain regular contact and follow up with existing accounts, for maximum retention and sustainable business relationship.
  • Analyze trading portfolio and identify threats and opportunities.
  • Assist in business development activities related to logistics and warehousing.
  • Manage and coordinate special services relating to warehousing, local transport and airfreight as required.
  • Provide weekly sales updates and report and prepare for quarterly reviews.
  • What do you bring?

  • Degree holder preferably in Business or Logistics Management.
  • Min. 5 years of sales or account servicing experience in the transport and logistics industry.
  • Knowledgeable in e-platforms, cross-border eCommerce and air freight forwarding.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Business mindset, flexible and with a can-do attitude.
  • Show drive to find solutions.
  • Able to work in teams with a multi-cultural environment.
  • Business trips to China required.
  • Immediate availability is a definite advantage.
