Your field of responsibility

Your responsibilities include :

  • Be a Portfolio risk strategist with outstanding knowledge of the underlying the business, proactively identifying issues and helping the business navigate the environment to minimize the risk of surprises.
  • Take accountability for Analysis and proactive management of risk resources available to the business across Credit, Market and Enterprise risk as well as capital and liquidity.
  • Undertake strategic and tactical macro hedging and risk mitigation activities, providing coverage for all of Asia Pacific Strategic Products business covering a portfolio of over CHF50bn.
  • Play key risk management role, monitoring risk appetite e.g. country limit usage, product risk appetite, CARMC limits, valuations and scenarios-at-risk.
  • Conduct ad-hoc risk deep dives and support analysis for Senior Management / Regulatory / Risk Committee BoD risk presentations by APAC RMC.
  • Take responsibility for capital, balance sheet and liquidity; analysis and forecast of usage in support of continued optimization efforts.
  • Fine-tune business metrics and performance indicators, working directly with trading and structuring desks and add real value to senior management decision making.

    Your skills and experience

    To excel in this role, you should possess :

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Engineering or similar, with a relevant professional accreditation desirable and previous background in Credit or Portfolio management.
  • Outstanding knowledge of Investment Banking and Private Banking product offerings, with understanding of underlying structures, trading process, market, credit or operational risk considerations.
  • A background in quantitative or risk analysis would be an advantage, with a front office mentality’ you will bring a commercial, revenue-centric approach to risk and controls.
  • The ability to build relationships with senior management and act on a consultative basis.
  • Critical and independent thinking skills, and the ability and personal impact to challenge others.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
  • Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking who can work on own initiative and can deliver on time with a high level of integrity and flexibility, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
