We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager, Regional Business and Commercial Management, Asia Pacific.
Provide business planning, governance and general management support to the Global Head of Business and Commercial Management for Banks and Broker Dealers sector, including the execution of client control and governance function and a smooth functioning of critical support functions
Oversight of the onboarding and support team for the global Business Development and Strategic Client Management teams, which includes management of Sales Management Information Reporting, Client Management feedback and Management Information Reporting, commercial control, fee billing control and support of the Request For Proposals process
Support the Global Head of Business and Commercial Management to build long term objectives and strategies
Supports and monitors the Banks and Brokers planning cycle to ensure that the budget is accurately tracked at a cost centre and on team and strategic initiative level
Ensure sector target operating model is documented, implemented and adhered to
Run a business management function that supports the Sector
Support the coordination of all risk and compliance programmes across the sector
Support internal and external reviews of risks and processes to maintain HSBC internal control standards including the timely implementation of audit points
Oversight and control of the Deal Management Process and its evolution, provide data to Business Development and Strategic Client Management on sales performance and product roadmap to keep track of sales and client management performance
Review and monitor customer feedback data to help provide input into improving the customer experience
Collaborates across management teams of Business Development and Strategic Client Management teams to ensure business is managing risks, controls and adherence to global standards
Builds and maintains relationships across other internal stakeholders across HSBC and HSBC Securities Services, including products and operation teams to enable collaborative working and expedite delivery
Lead initiatives to streamline our operating model, implement Target operating Model and improvement effectiveness
A business degree or other qualifications relevant to the investment industry
Outstanding management, collaboration and influencing skills with proven track record in managing a team
Ability to mobilize a team to execute against tight deadlines
Ability to face off against the broader bank and manage a diverse set of stakeholders
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group, demonstrates ability to manage executives both internally and externally
Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to support problem analysis
Strong understanding of HSBC structures, processes and objectives across the Group, good understanding of front to back processes are an advantage
Demonstrated ability to create and drive change in large organisations
Strong knowledge of the external environment, such as regulatory, political and competitors
Sound understanding of risk management and mitigation techniques
Understanding of varied product solutions required within the client base understanding of product and market risks
Knowledge of investment accounting, investment valuations, custody services and investor services
Ability to cope with multiple priorities and coordinate the efforts of others in order to bring a process to closure
Travel may be required as necessary
