Position Statement

The Marketing Officer is responsible for supporting the Marketing team in all areas of a Marketing Strategy; from the development of different elements to their execution.

This will include tasks from market research to organising the distribution of literature, or helping to organise an event.

They may also be responsible for maintaining the website and other social media marketing tools as well as managing enquiries by visitors to the website.

This position is also responsible to provides assistance on advertising and promotional activities to the marketing division.

  • Key Tasks and Responsibilities

    Internal and External Communications

  • Managing, drafting and posting internal group announcements
  • Managing the maintenance of relevant databases and the Crown internal document library
  • Proof-reading materials.
  • Creating and updating online content for Crown’s websites.
  • Drafting and editing articles for newsletters.
  • Maintaining content distribution for Crown’s social media activity.
  • Improving the visibility of Crown’s SEO.
  • Supporting activities to reach and retain target audiences.
  • Marketing / Communications Materials

  • Writing, editing and proof-reading off-line promotional material such as brochures, flyers, calendars, reports and other marketing collateral
  • Arranging the translation of content
  • Liaising with the design bureau manager to design and print collateral
  • Working closely with all members of the Crown GMO team on various local and global projects
  • Media relations :

  • Drafting press releases, newsletters articles, web articles, social media updates, etc
  • Maintaining a database of journalists and media organizations. Sending out press releases
  • Working with regional PR agencies as appropriate
  • Implement action plans to develop Crown’s media presence
  • Screening Crown’s presence in the media, preparing regular reviews
  • Other

  • Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Copy and press release writing experience a must for print and digital.
  • Proofreading and material review experience.
  • Relevant experience in marketing communications or public relations.
  • Proven ability to meet multiple project deadlines and demonstrate good attention to detail.
  • Well-developed administration, organisation and Marketing operations skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher or equivalent.
  • Experience of Adobe Photoshop would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant Marketing experience
  • University Degree or Higher Diploma with a Marketing / Communications
