Ab out the Role

With the recent opening of LEGOLANDDiscovery Centre Hong Kong, we have a fantastic opportunity for a strong, commercially-focusedpeople leader to oversee our operations across Hong Kong.

The ClusterGeneral Manager, Hong Kong leads the strategic and operational efforts for LEGOLANDDiscovery Centre Hong Kong and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

In a nutshell, yourvalue to Merlin will be delivering cluster financial performance and strategy througha solid understanding of our brands and corporate values.

Of course, you willnot be able to achieve this yourself so it will be imperative for the incumbentto influence and drive the leadership team to ensure delivery at every level.

Key focuses of this role include :

  • Ensuring the highest product excellence and health & safety standards are in place in addition to delivering all attraction financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Meeting (preferably exceeding) annual budgeted EBITDA / profit targets through commercial performance and cost management
  • Developing and implementing attraction marketing plans to create synergies between local, regional, cluster marketing strategies including promotions, marketing and PR
  • Engaging team members through effective recruitment, succession planning, training and development, and performance management
  • Supporting attraction strategy through the development and implementation of the cluster 5-year strategic plan, capital development plans, and annual budget
  • Representing the Hong Kong cluster across local and regional network organisations and tourism partners as well as leading community initiatives in line with corporate social responsibility agenda
  • What You Bring :

    To succeed in this role, you will have :

  • 7 to 10 years of work experience in commercial field, with a minimum of 2 years in leadership role(s).
  • Significant experience overseeing a commercial business in a fast-moving customer-centric environment
  • Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs with tangible results backed by data
  • A passion for delivering a brilliant employee experience and taking pride in being a company ambassador
