Reporting into the Analytics Manager, you will be working with various stakeholders in an exciting, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You’ll help us to further understand, model, predict, segment, acquire and retain our customers and be part of a rapidly expanding analytics team.
The job holder will use their high numerical aptitude to build data pipelines, develop data science models, and provide high quality insights to our loyalty program partners’ trading and marketing teams and / or FMCG suppliers.
The main day-to-day responsibilities are :
To translate business needs and develop algorithms, predictive models, prototypes, data visualizations, and web applications
To formulate market insight plan and provide data-driven recommendations for customer engagement and segmentation strategy
To build and maintain the data pipeline and ensure its performance
To support deliveries of ad-hoc analytical projects to the clients with actionable insight and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
To identify and support in driving efficiency of regular tasks through automation and streamlining of processes
To cross check, debug, and solve issues to ensure your team’s deliverable's accuracy and clarity, even when confronted by subtle data complications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Statistics / Mathematics / Operations Research / Data Science or other related quantitative fields.
Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science / Statistics / Mathematics / Operations Research / Data Science or other related quantitative fields a definite advantage
3+ years of experience as a data scientist or other quantitative data role
Experience in common data science languages / toolkits, such as Python, SQL, R, Scala, Apache Spark, Keras, or other statistical / machine learning software
Proficient with various machine learning techniques, and understands factors that affect their performance
Hands-on experience with SQL and database design
Build processes supporting ETL, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
Experience with BI & data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Azure ML Services & Data Warehouse
Project and vendor management experience
Motivated to proactively seek out opportunities to add value from data and willingness to learn new tools, skills and coding languages
Track record of good people skills and team orientation; quality-oriented, highly committed and professional
Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Experience working with customer data and understanding Customer Lifetime Value, as well as building models to predict churn, attribution, and propensity modelling in Retail, Financial Services, Loyalty / CRM / Marketing Agency or E-Commerce
Strong background in deep learning, recommender systems, or reinforcement learning.
Experience with software engineering or deploying machine learning models from prototype to production.
Experience in designing, launching, and analyzing A / B tests to measure business impact.
Experience with NoSQL (Neo4j, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, etc.)
Experience with Google ML and BigQuery
Familiar with Graph Theory and Neo4j
Experience within API development
