Investments & Wealth Solutions

A new role of Investments & Wealth Solutions role reporting to the Head of Wealth & Personal Banking ("WPB") will accelerate wealth products and solutions development and business growth with a synergized approach for the full continuum of WPB clients.

We are currently seeking a high caliber leader to join our department as Head of Investments & Wealth Solutions.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth strategy and transformation of the wealth business; integrate customer wealth products and services into a holistic value proposition and drive competitive business performance
  • Drive the formulation of capital markets product strategy and drive market-leading investments solutions and distribution answering customer needs across strategic segments and amid rapidly changing market environments
  • Build market share and brand leadership in online stock trading services to enhance the Bank's investment proposition
  • Drive the design and delivery of credit solutions across asset classes to meet client leverage needs
  • Lead the design and delivery of GBA Wealth Connect and other strategic wealth developments in the GBA space
  • Drive the formulation and communication of macro investment views and asset allocation across markets and asset classes;
  • align investment strategy and advice across segments and channels

  • Drive customer journeys design to enhance market leading customer experience across wealth products and channels (branch, contact centre and digital channels) based on segments, clients personas and omni-channel needs
  • Design contact strategies to drive engagements with strategic customer segments to broaden and deepen wealth relationships
  • Ensure financial planning and other models to advice & suitability are fit for purpose and market-leading
  • Ensure robust management of investment platforms and operations in risk governance and compliance aligned with regulatory and internal policies
  • Requirements

  • Considerable and proven track record in leading Wealth development working across products and channels in distribution, creating differentiated customers value propositions for integrated wealth solutions, driving business performance and market leading position with strong competitive edge
  • Demonstrate purpose-led leadership and strategic focus with strong Growth Mindset and passion to champion change and promote innovation
  • Strong customer centricity focus to deliver exceptional quality services and experience for customers
  • Highly effective navigation within a complex matrix environment, governance standard and regulatory context with agile ways of working and strong engagement with different levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong track record in orchestrating and leading effective transformation plans and programmes, and implementation of change initiatives working across multiple business and functional stakeholders to successful completion
  • Seasoned people leadership to engage, motivate and develop a diverse team; drive strong performance culture with clear aligned direction;
  • build talent pipeline and business bench strength

  • Strong outcome focus with adaptability, sound judgement and business insights in decision making, and accountability in delivery
  • Over twenty years of relevant experience and professional qualifications in retail and private bank wealth business and exposure in Hong Kong and wider GBA regions an advantage
  • University degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance or related disciplines
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • License holders in relevant areas as required by SFC, HKMA and MPFA
