Job Summary

Support the implementation of IFRS 17 and provide key contribution to initiatives required to manage the impact of IFRS 17 on Group financial strategy

Responsibilities

  • Lead Group financial impact assessment exercise to determine the impact of adopting IFRS 17
  • Support in determining the strategic implication of adopting IFRS 17
  • Assess the actions required to minimize the impact of IFRS 17 on Group financial strategy
  • Work closely with the accounting and actuarial team and contribute to the development of Group IFRS 17 accounting policy
  • Assist in the development of guidance and tools for BU local financial impact assessment
  • Support BUs in their assessment and delivery of financial impact assessment
  • Support BUs in incorporating the impact of IFRS 17 within their business development and strategic planning
  • Assist with development of IFRS 17 modelling framework and work with modelling and system solutions
  • Work closely with the project management teams in supporting the delivery and implementation of IFRS 17
  • Requirements :

  • Min 5 years strong proven track record in delivering projects / initiatives / sales efforts in the insurance industry
  • Actuarial qualification
  • Knowledge on financial and regulatory reporting including IFRS 17 and US GAAP, economic and regulatory capital bases and risk management
  • Strong communicator (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work with senior management and technical and non-technical teams
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proactive and attentive to detail
