Lead Platform Engineer
The Lead Platform Engineer is responsible for managing the Network operation team that runs the Asia network infrastructure.
The position will have to develop a highly efficient team to ensure the network is running smoothly and be 100% available for applications and users connect to it.

We are looking for someone with :
A demonstrated track record of attracting and developing talent.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
At least 10 years’ experience in network engineering, with at least 5 years leading teams.
Significant experience managing network operations, both in-house and through vendors.
Comfortable in operating across geographies and with teams of varying maturity
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Tact and clear verbal and written communication skills are necessary to facilitate solutions and resolve problems.
Strong influence, negotiation and change management skills
Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills with the proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgment in assessing business issues and risks in a dynamic environment.
Nice to Haves :
Prior experience in managing offshore teams
Fluency in Cantonese (spoken) would be a plus
On the job you will :
Manage the Asia Network Operation team to ensure the stability of the Asia network environments for 11 countries
Maintain effective working relationships with Asia Enterprise Technology Services Leadership team, Asia regional technology teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that Asia network environment is highly available for business and ready for business growth with proper change control management, quick incident response and proactive capacity management.
Act as the senior escalation point for network incidents and provide technical direction to resolve incidents swiftly.
Ensure that processes, metrics, and instrumentation are in place to proactively manage the availability and capacity of network components to ensure fulfillment of business service level expectations.
To personally oversee the response to serious network issues.
To continuously challenge all aspects of network design and operations to identify opportunities to optimize network operation process and build standard to improve stability
To have in place the processes necessary to ensure vendor arrangements deliver to agreed levels of services and cost and to work alongside vendors to explore opportunities to better leverage vendor skills or capabilities.
Given the shape of the Asian business the incumbent must be comfortable operating across multiple cultures and in the leadership of remote teams.
