The Opportunity

The Onboarding Manager in Risk as a Service (RaaS) will join a leading, entrepreneurial and collegial team within the Asset Manager Platform business that is responsible for the strategy, execution and marketing of a suite of innovative pricing, risk and trade management tools across all asset classes and financial instruments.

This is an exciting position for a talented and energetic Onboarding Manager who thrives on new challenges, possesses true entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

This position is for an experienced Onboarding Manager to work with the team in establishing an industrialized and scalable client onboarding and relationship management process.

The Onboarding Manager will be the primary contact for high value clients in APAC and will be required to build strong relationships within the RaaS team and the wider AMP organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial perspective and be able to maintain discipline in executing on objectives.

The Onboarding Manager will participate in :

  • Initial scope definition and onboarding requirements, working with Portfolio / Fund / Risk Managers.
  • Trial environment setup, user onboarding and initial user demonstrations.
  • Onsite deep dive sessions with client Portfolio / Fund / Risk Managers, Technology, Operations, Data Security and Compliance representatives.
  • Production of detailed scope definition documentation that will be used as the basis for contractual terms.
  • Ongoing front line client support and relationship management.
  • Definition and production of a set of artifacts to be used in an industrialized onboarding process.
  • Integration with the wider Securities Services onboarding and client service infrastructure.
  • Client acquisition process from pre-sales, sales to ongoing client relationship management
  • Partner closely with Markets and Platform Sales teams to acquire clients for RaaS by educating various Sales teams on our product, assessing client suitability leveraging existing client relationships and pursuing strategic clients in order to expand firmwide client relationships.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Ownership of end to end onboarding of specific clients.
  • Definition and production of a strategic onboarding model with associated artefacts supporting a standardized and scalable process.
  • Maintenance of client relationships as primary contact point.
  • Management of assigned issues and risks and ensuring risks & issues are escalated appropriately within RaaS and AMP where appropriate.
  • Running program governance forums including the Working Group, issue resolution meetings and other ad-hoc meetings as required.
  • Partnership with product development, quants, engineers, UX to bring product to life
  • Collaboration with the business development team in the acquisition of new clients
  • Help gather and analyze user metrics to understand our client behavior and further increase user engagement of our product and service.
  • Assist in legal and commercial negotiations with clients’ business stakeholders to get them signed onto our service
  • Qualifications

  • Relevant experience of client onboarding and relationship management in financial services.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, asset classes, instruments and risk.
  • Strong team leader who works collaboratively with stakeholders whilst ensuring the team is held to account for individual and collective delivery.
  • Motivated self-starter who networks effectively and is tenacious in achieving results.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships both internally and with external clients.
  • Analytical skills, problem solving, good critical thinking and decision-making skills based upon fact and business / industry knowledge.
  • Strong time management skills, with an ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Well organized and with attention to detail in generating and maintaining detailed program documentation.
  • Experience working across multiple business areas and / or functions to deliver results.
  • Onboarding Manager with a track record of successful delivery of medium to large scale programs.
  • Ideally has experience of successfully delivering Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) based programs.
  • The role is based in the Hong Kong however the post holder should be prepared to work on Global programs and engage with colleagues across regions and time zones.
