Assistant Manager, Reinsurance Services

Job Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the reinsurance settlement and reporting processes, including the quality review and investigation of results, the management of results delivery schedule to other departments and external reinsurers, and the communication to other parties.
  • Maintain and development controls to the processes in line with internal standard of practice
  • Participate in the system development and enhancement with other departments (e.g. IT, Finance, etc.) for automated reinsurance calculation
  • Coordinate with other teams on any reinsurance data support (as the data owner) for various initiatives
  • Support any other financial or analytical works within Actuarial & Finance
  • Participate in the review of reinsurance treaty set up for new arrangement and manage the team to set up the corresponding reinsurance settlement processes
  • Job Requirement :

  • Bachelor degree, preferably with professional insurance / finance / accounting qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant working experience, including 1 year of supervisory level
  • Insurance background (e.g. policy administration, claims, finance) preferred
  • Good business acumen and is self-motivated
  • Familiar with MS Excel and Access or other database software
  • Good numerical sense
  • Good analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Good communications skills with good command of spoken and written English
