The Operations Research Manager is expected to develop and analyze complex models that will enable management to make certain business decisions to be made in relation to Operational Processes.
In addition the Manager will oversee the development of a Predictive Analytics / Machine Learning / AI model for a specific Digital Transformation project.
S / he will be analyzing complex business and solving operational problems involving large, complex cross functional projects.
S / he is also expected to create / produce quantitative models that could support the Club in its decision making.
You will :
Work with business partners and stakeholders to elicit high-level requirements and capture business and operational needs
Develope processes based on first principles on how to create an overall Operational Model that identifies optimal solutions based on simulation.
Drive the delivery of business analysis and analytical modelling including creating business unit models to improve decision making at both project and corporate levels
Critically review and evaluate existing metrics, analyze data, partner with internal team members to identify process and system reengineering opportunities and develop key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall performance
Lead a team of business / data analysts to prepare management reports with strong data analysis and modelling support
Provide support to critique and challenge business analysis and decisions
Draw business insights from data through business analysis and analytical modelling
Collaborate with and influence business partners and stakeholders to create new, or modify existing, reports to meet the needs of a dynamic business and operations, with emphasis on action-oriented data analytics which promotes decision making
You should have :
a Master degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Actuarial Science with a strong mathematics / mathematics-related subject / business modelling discipline, with stellar academic or research background is highly preferred
At least 10 years being in a data scientist or relevant role
Experience in creating predictive and / or machine learning models
Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis and modelling skills, including building decision tree models
Competency in creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful through application of first principle thinking
Strong business acumen and stakeholder communication skills
High proficiency in English and Chinese (preferred both Mandarin and Cantonese)
Candidates with more experiences will be considered as Senior Operations Research Manager
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate.
Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
