Major Accountabilities / Principal responsibilities :
The E-sales team defines the Electronic client strategy (in coordination with E-Trading) to maximize the profitability of our platform and serve clients appropriately
The E-sales team promotes our FX and Fixed Income capacities to our global and local Financial institutions and Corporate clients in the entire Asia region and time zone.
Acts as the relationship owner for areas of E-trading clients allocated within area of responsibility, builds and develops long term relationships and advisory approach with clients as well as multi deal platforms based on trust and professionalism.
Has direct contacts with clients when necessary, in cooperation with Voice sales (cross-selling and leverage on voice sales, e-trading and post trade services to sell our e-capabilities).
Promotes algorithms to clients directly.
The E-sales team participates actively in key electronic initiatives, notably promoting further internal usage of SG Markets, as well as Automation push (such as FXO on MDPs with Private Banks)
The E-sales team builds regular competitive landscape data and market intelligence
The E-sales team monitors regularly e-business profitability to generate a recurring stream of revenues with clients, by enhancing new products suitable to clients needs and / or develop new client prospects and products pushes (such as Algos) and work closely with stakeholders to review regularly proper client tiering and improve overall profitability
Key skill areas & knowledge required :
Product understanding : possess and enhance strong technical knowledge of FIC products, particularly FX and Rates
Market knowledge : solid global macro understanding.
People friendly, customer oriented, highly driven reliable team player.
Proficient multi-tasker, strong time management skills, ability to work with high accuracy under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written skills in English, as well as in Mandarin ideally
High level of proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft (particularly Excel, PowerPoint), programming languages such as Excel VBA, Python etc
Bachelor or Master Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Science, Statistics, Engineering
4-7 years experience in relevant field
Primary objectives :
FIC Electronic sales based in Hong Kong, within a team of 2 persons. E-sales oversee the promotion of our electronic FX and Fixed Income products to our global and local clients in the entire Asia region and time zone.
As electronic trading becomes the predominant execution method, the team plays an increasingly important role in servicing our diverse client base, which includes all types of Financial Institutions (Banks, Hedge Funds, Real Money clients such as Asset Managers, Insurance companies, Pension funds etc) as well as Corporates.
Product perimeter focused on flow FX (Vanilla & Options / G10 & EM Asia) and flow Rates / Fixed Income (Cash bond & IR Derivatives / G10 & EM Asia).
The e-sales team has strong links and interactions with the Trading and Sales Teams of the FIC business.
