Reporting to the Director of Knowledge Transfer, the appointees will be required to :
Manage a portfolio of Intellectual Property (IP) relating to the following areas :
a) Digital Science (AI, AR, VR, Cyber Security, etc.), ICT and IoT;
b) Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Energy and Environment, Medical Devices (Diagnostics, implants, surgical tools, etc.);
c) Life Science (Therapeutics : small molecules, genomics, proteomics, etc.).
Assess commercialization viability throughout the life of each IP;
Identify and market portfolio of IPs to prospective licensees to seal licenses for implementation / use (i.e. not licensing for illegal purposes) of the IPs;
Render guidance and work closely with inventors on patent filing strategies and patent prosecution approaches to maximize scope of each patent that issued;
Facilitate applications and prosecution for protection of patents; and
Recommend inventors to consider developing such IPs to demonstrate potential through prototyping projects.
A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Digital Science / Materials Science / Engineering / Life Science;
A minimum of 5 years of IP management and commercialization / licensing experience with proven track record;
Strong network and negotiation experience;
Good appreciation of technology trends; awareness of unmet needs and opportunities; and
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills are required.
Specialized skills for transforming research into technological products / services that can be commercialized are preferred.

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract;
