Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager / Senior Accounting Officer to ensure the school has an effective finance function to meet all internal and external accounting reporting requirements.
Assist to upkeep an effective Finance system and internal control mechanism
Maintain Accounts Receivable function to take care of the production of accurate and timely invoices, the recording and reconciling of receipts, excellent debt management and the provision of high standards of customer service
Timely implement and issue invoices, fee collection, credit control and Discount Granted Policy and Procedure during the daily operation
Conduct an accurate reconciliation between Admission, Invoicing and Finance Systems
Conduct month-end Revenue Recognition upon NAE policy
Work closely with the Admissions team on AR Aging Report on a weekly basis
Customer-oriented for resolving enquiries
Coordinate with different stakeholders in terms of tuition fee deduction of staff’s children, student numbers and school bus records
Prepare Monthly AR Reports (Debtor Report, Discount Tracking Report, Annual / Termly / Monthly Payer Tracking Report / Company / Parent Payer Report)
Intercompany balance reconciliations, Balance Sheet schedules and reports
Assist in preparing and submitting cashflow forecast
Ad hoc assignments as required by supervisors from time to time
Job Requirement
Higher Diploma or Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related business disciplines
Minimum 2 years of work experiences in accounts receivable
Knowledge and proficient in Accounting software
Excellent organisational and negotiation skills
Proficient in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Work in an Education Institution is an advantage
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
Excellent analytical skills with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
