TheJockey Club Giftedness Into Flourishing Talents Project is now looking for aResearch Associate.
Applicantsshould have (i) a Master’s degree, preferably a doctoral degree, with fouryears’ post-qualification experience in a relevant area (psychology, education,social science, program evaluation, research methods);
ii) competence instatistical analysis and statistical software (e.g. SPSS and NVivo); (iii)substantial experience in research and project coordination;
and (iv) highmotivation to develop an academic research / teaching career. Preference will begiven to those who are experienced in conducting qualitative research.
Dutiesinclude (a) conducting quantitative and qualitative research to study the needsof gifted students and their parents and teachers as well as current giftededucation in schools;
b) conducting evaluation research, particularlyqualitative, according to the proposed project evaluation framework; (c)writing research articles, evaluation reports and academic publications;
d)providing support to the development of learning and teaching resource package;and (e) providing support to school-based staff development workshops forprimary and secondary school teachers.
Appointmentwill be made on contract basis for four months commencing as soon as possible.
