The Strategy & Organization team in Chief Operating Office for Asia (COOA) is responsible for managing major transformation initiatives across Support Functions at regional level as well as dealing with all transversal projects involving Global Business Services across APAC region.

It is a key actor for driving the change of Global Business Services in APAC, through sponsoring of key strategic projects, designing the roadmap, organizing its overall delivery through adequate monitoring of risk and performance, value and ensuring global consistency, smart alignment.

The position is based in Hong Kong and covers the whole APAC perimeter.

Main Responsibilities :

Support Asia Project Portfolio Manager (PPM) :

  • Contribute to the preparation of Asia project portfolio (demand management, budget and roadmap) while ensuring priorities are in line with Asia strategic objectives
  • Monitor pro-actively appropriate execution of Asia project portfolio by ensuring proper data quality, performing first level of analysis and raising alerts whenever needed
  • Animate Project Managers community while identifying best practices in Asia and disseminate across the Region when appropriate
  • Be a trusted partner regionally & globally with all stakeholders
  • Act as Project Management Office (PMO) - Support transversal Project Managers

  • Accompany Project Manager journey (through set up of project management tools, organize relevant committees to establish project governance, follow up actions plan )
  • Ensure proper project indicators monitoring (incl. forecasts, actuals, milestones ) during full lifecycle of project and provide detailed analysis whenever required
  • Ad-hoc support on transversal initiatives of the project
  • Support the COO Asia office :

  • Provide support on strategic presentations for senior management whenever required
  • Assist to drive & manage major transformation initiatives across Support Functions
  • Support & coordinate internal events organization in COO Asia Office whenever applied
  • Ad-hoc support on Chief of Staff functions
  • Your Profile :

  • Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics or similar
  • Previous internship in Business management / Project management is appreciated
  • Understanding in banking structure / operation / project management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other PC applications
  • Strong analytical sense
  • Capacity to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines to ensure on-time completion with accuracy and quality
  • A true team player, approachable, adaptable, flexible with strong interpersonal & presentation skills to interact with different level of seniority
  • Self- motivated, persistent, resourceful, fast learning with Can-do attitude
  • Excellent communicator, ability to give a synthetic overview (good oral & written communication) & to drive the change
  • Fluent English is mandatory
  • This is a fixed term 12-month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis.
