What you will be doing

  • Understanding end-user and channel buying criteria in the region of NAPAC Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.
  • Act as the voice of the customer to product management and the rest of the organization.

  • Produce and maintain an overview of the applicability of the current PACS portfolio to the region, evaluate its competitive position against global and local products, generate a gap analysis between the PACS portfolio and regional needs.
  • This gap analysis will be accompanied by a business case for the items, solutions or services identified.

  • Responsible for market intelligence being the domain expert in the PACS segment regarding the regional competitive environment.
  • Identify and suggest possible partnering and acquisition opportunities.
  • Align with regional sales directors and implement the PACS regional strategy by developing and executing regional plans, including relevant product launches, regional go to market plans and communication relating to product sustaining activities that affect the region.
  • Develop and implement sales enablement programs and sales tools that support the selling process of the PACS portfolio.
  • This includes close cooperation with PACS marketing communication on regional messaging and collateral localization.

  • Serve as a regional ambassador for HID Global, building awareness for HID externally through industry brand-building activities such as conference speaking opportunities, written articles, interviews, etc.
  • Monitoring and contributing to industry innovations, standards and associations.
  • Develop and execute the implementation of a successful product and solution launch program with assets ready that define target markets, positioning, competitive analysis and comparison, collaterals, white papers, training, presentations, pricing and promotion.
  • Review and report regularly on segment and geographical business performance including revenue, product mix, ASP, cost and margin trends and advice the organization on improvement implementations to drive both growth and profitability.
  • Generate and implement channel strategies with the sales and marketing organization, including pricing strategies.
  • What we are looking for

  • Minimum 5+ years technical sales, business development or product marketing experience
  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Knowledge of physical access control and the security industry
  • Knowledge of contactless RFID credentials, readers and door controller products desirable
  • Ability to conduct and present market research and analysis
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English and Chinese language verbally and in writing.
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills with a very good ability to lead presentations
  • Capable of establishing credibility with sales force and customers
  • Ability to work independently
