Duties

  • Plan, design and conduct career preparation and employability training workshops for students;
  • Conduct one-on-one career consultations with students and provide them with professional guidance in career planning, occupation profiling, job search, job applications, internship and graduate employment, as well as the updated job market and industry information;
  • Coordinate the career education and consultation services with other Career Advisors of CLC to ensure professional and effective career services are provided to students;
  • Liaise with colleges / academic units and synergise diverse needs of the University to assist students in career preparation;
  • Design, conduct and manage CLC’s Employability Enhancement Programmes;
  • Participate in employer networking and employer outreach activities / events for internship and employment opportunities for students;
  • Manage and conduct employment surveys for graduates / alumni; and
  • Coach Career Development Officers and other junior team members on their project implementation / daily work.
  • The appointee may have to work irregular hours when required.

    Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a postgraduate qualification;
  • At least 10 years’ working experience in career counselling / assessment, talent acquisition / management, learning and development;
  • Good knowledge of local labour market trend and employment in Hong Kong and overseas;
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Proficiency in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint); and
  • Knowledge and exposure in developing / conducting career education programmes, assessment centres, aptitude / personality assessments required.
  • Formal training / certification in career development facilitation / career counselling / career assessment preferred.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a written test.

    Salary and Conditions of Service

  • Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract;
