Role Title : Software Engineer
Business : Global Operations Technology
Role Purpose / Description :
The responsibilities include activities described in the software project lifecycle. This would entail areas such as
Requirement analysis : Analyse the requirements.
Design : Develop / review the technical design.
Coding : Analyse and develop code as per specifications.
Reviews : Conduct review of design / code / test plan and test results
Testing : Prepare unit / system test plans, Conduct unit testing and system integration testing.
Support : Provide post implementation support.
Customer delight : Ensuring that customer expectations are met and exceeded under all circumstances. This would imply the following :
Shouldering responsibility diligently and delivering quality output within the defined schedule and service levels
Understanding the client’s requirement and translating it to the project team
Day to day maintenance and support of the application
Provide support documentation
Provide Quantitative Analysis on all work products
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications :
University graduate with degree in computer science, information technology or related discipline
At least 1-2 years’ experience in IT with solid knowledge on application development and support
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English
Experience in Finance and Banking industry would be an advantage
Technical capability : Continuously upgrading and learning various technologies required for successful project delivery through continuous learning and training.
Familiar with AS400 RPGLE CL on iSeries
Solid domain knowledge of Core Banking HUB, Channel, Payment, Interface etc. is preferred
Familiar with MQ, CD gateway, APi etc
Knowledge of JAVA, Cloud is preferred
Work under pressure, willing OT when the project is in tight schedule.
Open mindset and adapt to the change, positive attitude and logical thinking
Able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
Team player; Multi-tasking; good inter-personal skills; Troubleshooting ability & testing skills; organised self-starter.
Willing to travel if required
