The Department

The Strategic Procurement Department is focused on delivering effective business solutions through a strategic management approach of our costs, our supplier base and the continuous improvement of our administrative initiatives.

This role is to support in the development and implementation of procurement and category strategies of all IT related capital and operational expenditure, which enable the Club to engage with the supply market in a manner which secures the desired suppliers at the optimum price, whilst delivering excellent performance for the Club throughout the cycle.

You will :

  • Oversee the sourcing and tendering process to ensure opportunities for innovation are fully evaluated and, where appropriate, introduced or implemented in the Club
  • Lead the team to support business users through the procurement process and work closely with management to pursue business opportunities
  • Manage procurement activities and obtain the best option for the Club in all aspects of IT hardware, software, IT services, telecommunications, consultancy and enterprise solutions
  • Formulate procurement strategies for major purchases and conduct regular reviews with budget holders
  • Monitor the market and make recommendation on new goods, services and latest technology that are most compatible with user requirements and Club standards
  • Implement supplier assessment processes and tools, and communicate results to suppliers to aid their development
  • Identify the process gap among various categories such as IT, F&B, Racing, and Constructions while standardizing procurement process to ensure operational efficiency and consistency
  • Drive continuous improvement for the procurement function through analysis, market benchmarking and sharing of best practices
  • Facilitate the supplier registration process and supply base management
  • You should have :

  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business Administration
  • Sound knowledge on category management in one or more categories including information and communication technologies, facilities management, corporate services & marketing
  • At least 10 years of related work experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationship with stakeholders
  • Good planning and project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in developing business process and procedures
  • Ability to identify user requirements and lead change programme
  • Good command of English and Chinese

    The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
