The Department

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has been initiating and implementing a number of projects to meet the challenges in the community.

Some examples of our Trust-initiated projects are :

CADENZA", to nurture academic leadership in gerontology and change the mindset and attitude of the general public through a range of public education programmes and to bring about a new mode of elderly care services to prepare for a rapidly ageing society.

CoolThink JC" , to strive to inspire students to apply digital creativity in their daily lives and prepare them to tackle future challenges in any fields.

C-for-Chinese" , to enhance the Chinese proficiency of ethnic minority students in local kindergartens for better transition into primary education and early integration.

Early Childhood Intervention", to provide early support for underprivileged children to reduce deficits and to build stronger foundation years for better life outcomes and to build an integrated model involving medical, education and welfare sectors to address the deficits of the disadvantaged children.

End of Life Community Care", to improve the quality of end-of-life care, enhance the capacity of service providers and raise public awareness of this issue.

Positive Education", to improve the well-being of students and teachers by cultivating a positive school environment that is conducive to learning and growth.

Sport Model for Primary School", to develop physical literacy (ability, confidence and desire) of primary students to increase their physical activity levels, through new technology, pedagogy, and creative and fun-

filled activities, for an active and healthy lifestyle for life.

We are looking for talents to manage these projects, which are territory-wide projects in collaboration with non-government-

organizations, universities, and related government departments.

You will :

  • be one of the managers to manage and support a designated project according to your experience and knowledge
  • collaborate with relevant project partners, e.g., universities, NGOs, schools, to plan and implement one of the above projects
  • help steer the direction, monitor the progress and budget, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of the project
  • work with related parties to organise publicity events and public education programmes of respective project
  • engage different stakeholders, including but not limited to government officials, to disseminate the project concept through media interviews, publications, international conferences, practice wisdom forums, focus group meetings, etc.
  • You should have :

  • a Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines
  • at least 10 years' working experience in charity / community project management, preferrably at managerial level
  • solid experience in engaging and working with stakeholders such as government officials, NGOs, schools and professional bodies
  • excellent writing skills (in both English and Chinese) and interpersonal / communication skills
  • strong passion in charities work and community services
  • strong personal drive with innovative mindset and ability to work under tight timelines / pressure
  • ability to work independently as well as collaboratively for teamwork
  • Terms of Employment

    The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate.

    Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
