The opportunity to partner with internal stakeholdersincluding the Human Resources business partners and HR specialists, Compliance,Legal, Employment Law, General Counsel, Security Services, Sourcing and VendorManagement and Line Management

A challenging rolesuccessfully managing the most complex and high profile grievance and disciplinarycases primarily in Hong Kong, taking into account legal obligations, regulatoryexpectations and the bank’s risk appetite and ensuring effective riskmanagement at all times

The ability to act as aDisciplinary or Grievance Decision Manager : applying extensive employeerelations / employment law experience and knowledge to manage cases quickly,effectively and professionally, ensuring that the risk to the bank is mitigatedand that decisions reached are fair, consistent and in line with legalobligations and regulatory expectations

The opportunity topartner with internal stakeholders including the Human Resources business partners andCompliance, Legal, Employment Law to ensure theright outcomes are achieved

The chance to supportthe Head of Employee Relations in influencing and driving the direction of thestrategy across the APAC region

Representation of theteam on ad-hoc APAC and / or global projects and tasks as directed by the Head ofEmployee Relations, e.

g. development of Employee Relations related e-learninginitiatives

Youhave a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related disciplines.

Extensive experience asan ER Specialist, ideally obtained within a demanding financial servicesenvironment

A demonstratedunderstanding of the Hong Kong employment law and regulatory frameworks(exposure to, and a full appreciation of, the regulatory environment and theregulator’s expectations in the context of employee conduct / disciplinarymatters is essential)

Experience dealing witha wide range of complex first and second stage grievances and disciplinaries

Experience workingwithin a complex, fast paced and challenging business environment

A demonstrated abilityto partner effectively with key internal stakeholders including senior businessmanagers

Confidence, gravitasand credibility together with a robust and resilient personality
