The Mail Services Manager oversees multiple mail services teams and directs employee management for mail services staff at Host-supported locations.
This individual makes budgetary recommendations and confirms that mailroom budgets and financial goals are achieved, in addition to creating plans for operations and cost estimates for supplies, services and personnel.
The Mail Services Manager also develops training methods for the use of company equipment and vehicles to guarantee safety and efficiency.
The individual in this role also works with business leaders and other Host-affiliated managers to see that goals are met and conflicts are resolved to ensure effective mail services operations for Host and our clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a team in one or more offices; provides direction on employee management (, performance management, etc.); makes recommendations on budgets and cost reductions.

Ensures that mailroom savings goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
Develops operating plans and cost estimates for personnel, equipment, vehicles, services, and supplies.
Develops short and long range plans to upgrade automation, technology and equipment and maintain state-of-the-art operations.
Plans, coordinates, schedules and reviews mail service schedules
Develops training methods for efficient and safe use of equipment and vehicles
Acts as liaison with business leaders, department managers and other internal and external clients to forecast workload demand, project deliverables and resolve any conflicting priorities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) from four year college or university preferred.
Minimum of 6 years related work experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving. Experience within Mail Services preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, handheld mobile technologies, and applications.
Ability to use computer system to record materials received and shipped.
Physical ability to assist with warehouse operations. Able to lift 50 lbs.
