The Department
The IT Digital & Channels Solutions Department is responsible for the overall management and delivery of the wagering distribution channel technologies including fixed internet, mobile, retail, telebet, kiosk, selling terminals and devices.
In addition, the team delivers high performance, reliable and secure channel distribution systems connecting to Pari-mutuel and Fixed Odds Wagering Systems.
The Job
Lead a team of various developers team and provide technical design with respect to integration pattern, end to end systems & data flow.
Mentor, develop and support software engineers in the design & delivering sustainable solution design for customer-facing products and services.
Closely work with the Enterprise & Application Architects and ensure integrated technical design meet the reference architecture, business requirements and are delivered according to agreed standards and methods including architecture & security design considerations
Closely work with the lead Architect and application managers and assist in defining the integration, data flow architecture, API management and respective solutions
Ensure the integrated technical design meets the nonfunctional requirements
Assist cross-functional development team to analyse and assess upstream and downstream systems impact and support in troubleshooting any issues across various application with respect to solution design.
About You
Computer Science / Engineering Bachelor Degree or equivalent
10 years working through the integrated solution design, development, release cycle and delivering software products.
Demonstrated success in designing and delivering complex integrated solutions across different technologies.
Experienced in working in the agile practices broadly across a large enterprise
Sound knowledge about various architectures, integration patterns and protocols
Knowledge in software development utilizing a variety of system integration methods, technologies including webservices, SOAP, REST, JSON, APIs, XML, automated testing frameworks and orchestration tools.
Solid experience in leading integrated customer facing mobile (React Native) and web applications( React)
Experience in developing solutions in various technologies and languages such as java, .Net
Experience in Spring framework, OAUTH2.0, CDN
Hand-on experience working in hybrid cloud environments, adopting Kubernetes and microservices architecture and its ecosystem
Ability to execute tactically as well as demonstrate ability to think and act strategically.
Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives with a track record of driving change.
Strong relationship management skills to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus and resolving conflicts in a large organization.
Strong functional knowledge and experience including but not limited to : Software Engineering practices, DevOps automation, Monitoring & Observability, information security, vendor management and executive communications.
Sound knowledge of ITIL, Agile and DevOps, test automation including experience of Incident Management, Problem Management and Change / Release Management
English, Cantonese, Mandarin oral and written communication skills
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate.
Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
