Senior Project Manager

Job Objectives :
Responsible for providing the comprehensive sourcing, developing strong and extensive supplier base and performance management of Asia suppliers for kitchen appliances.
Develop new product from exploration, qualification of right components and manufacturing partners, determine procurement strategies, lead and direct related activities with the cross functional teams globally to achieve the company business goals.
Key responsibilities :
Lead the Asia Business Unit composing functions of sourcing, Engineering, QA and QC in Hong Kong and China to drive the supply excellence and deliver the best value to the company.
Lead the sourcing and procurement activities, including supply prices and business terms negotiation, factory selection, benchmarking and supply market analysis in Asia Pacific to supply the best-in-class products with the lowest total cost, best quality and services for all products globally.
Initiate and drive cost improvement programmers through cross functions synergy, benchmark market competition, source new and better supply alternatives, negotiate with current and potential suppliers.
Ownership and accountability of supplier consolidation, product design and parts standardization, dual sourcing, etc. to allow cost-efficient and high degree of production flexibility.
Act as a driver on supplier performance scorecard, identify the gap, develop clear roadmap to drive product sales continuation with quality improvement.
Work with US marketing to explore product sales opportunities to derive supplier or product category business strategy.
Develop extensive business network and a strong reliable supplier base.
Lead product innovation programs with suppliers to drive continuous improvement on quality, productivity and supply service.
Act as focal point of contact to collaborate with BU teamwork, develop, gain approval and execute strategic product supply plans.
Gather market intelligence within the industry to help guide sourcing strategies and maintain an up-to-date tracking on competitor activities.
Bachelor Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Eng. / Electronic Eng. a must. Business Management a plus.
Minimum 10 years work experience in strategic international sourcing / merchandising / project management in buying office, trading, manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in senior management leadership role (ideally in area of commercial catering equipment / kitchen appliances / hospitality supplies).
Deep experience with Asian manufacturing conditions, including product development engineering, production line set up and control, outbound logistics and factory workplace audit compliance.
Business management process control and system improvement experience is required.
Extensive international sourcing / purchasing experience in China / Asia Pacific regions is required.
Excellent management skills and a strong leadership with proven success in building and driving a growth business are required.
Frequent travelling to factories, trade shows and business events to facilitate business development is required.
Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Knowledge of other foreign languages is advantageous.
