Major Duties :
a) To provide technical support in the operation and maintenance of central controlling system of the computers in language laboratories;
b) To assist in the arrangement of language laboratories for evening classes;
c) To assist in photo and video taking, video replication, graphic design and desktop publishing work;
d) To compile system reports, update documents and guidelines;
e) To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores, software licenses and consumables;
f) To take charge of day-to-day website and equipment maintenance;
g) To provide support in installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of PCs, servers and network equipment; and
h) To provide IT-related technical support for staff and / or students.
a) A recognised diploma or higher certificate in a relevant discipline;
b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience;
c) Good knowledge of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networking;
d) Experience in using Windows PC and Mac;
e) Ability to work independently and be a good team player;
f) Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese; and
g) Candidates with practical knowledge / skills in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage :
i) Operation and maintenance of central controlling system of the computers in language laboratories, preferably the Sanako Lab 100 Language Laboratory System;
ii) Microsoft and Adobe software and application of other common computer / educational software;
iii) Computer graphics design and video editing;
iv) Development of web site programming using languages such as PHP, ASP and HTML; and
v) Administration of Windows server and Linux server.
1) The initial postings will be in IVE(Kwai Chung), IVE(Morrison Hill) and IVE(Tuen Mun).
2) Shortlisted candidate(s) may be required to attend and pass a trade test.

4) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and / or outside office hours.
