Account Manager, Channel Services

Job Purpose

You will assist assist the Senior Manager / Manager / Account Manager of Business Development Channel Service Team to render professional sales service and account management service that helps to achieve targets and make contribution to the overall development of the health insurance business as generated by intermediaries.

Accountabilities and activities

  • Achieve new business’ sales targets for both Group and Individual products
  • Retain existing contracts and negotiate renewal contracts with agents and brokers in pursuit of the most favourable terms and profitability to the Company
  • Serve agents / brokers and maintain good relationship with them with the aim to build up a strong customer base with brokers.
  • Identify business opportunities and generate potential sales enquiries
  • Prepare proposals and presentation materials
  • Handle enquiries and complaints
  • Update management the business status through sales report.
  • Collect market intelligence on competitors’ activities including competitors’ products, pricing, catalogues, selling tactics, etc.
  • Develop and review marketing materials, e.g., training materials, staff briefing materials, etc.
  • Perform underwriting according to the Company’s guidelines and within authorized limits
  • Assist and participate in new product and market development
  • To be considered for this role, you should ideally have :

  • Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent with 5 years or more related experience (Preferably insurance field)
  • Possess valid general insurance license
  • Hands on MS Office knowledge
  • Highest levels of integrity and trust
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Good presentation, communication and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated ,Customer focus and result-oriented
  • Pro-active, mature, positive and decisive
  • Able to adapt to changes and work under pressure
  • Able and enjoy to work with people of diverse backgrounds
