Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following for Regional Finance :

  • US GAAP financial reporting for Asia including monthly and quarterly reporting to ensure timeliness and quality. Ensure all the Group reporting requirements and submissions are met
  • To review financial results and trend analysis, investigate variances compared to plan as well as prior reporting periods
  • To ensure adequate internal controls are in place within the whole finance cycle, as well as exploring opportunities to streamline or enhance efficiency on the processes
  • To lead and review the annual budgeting and re-forecasts and liaise with Corporate and local finance to facilitate the budgeting process
  • To review financial results and perform reconciliations for all entities including intercompany accounts
  • To support and coach Asia Finance on all-round finance matter such as reporting, account reconciliation, cost transfer and financial system issues
  • To lead project accounting for the region and being the key contact person in Asia on project accounting and coordinate with different stakeholders.
  • To support other projects implementation such as LDTI and IFRS17 / 9
  • To support any ad hoc request from regional and corporate leaders
  • Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting with qualified professional accounting designation
  • 7+ years Insurance or preferable Reinsurance accounting experience with GAAP reporting, IFRS reporting and general ledger application experience.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel, word, outlook
  • A high level of personal accountability and integrity
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to explain difficult or sensitive information in a way that is meaningful and well received by stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to investigate, analyze and solve complex analytic and financial problems / issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with various departments / stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
