Contract Period : 6 months
Major Duties :
a) To support and coordinate accreditation exercises, validation / revalidation exercises and Periodic Institutional Review (PIR) in the Engineering Discipline;
b) To collect information / evidence, and compile documents for submission;
c) To liaise with programme team for reviewing teaching and learning package for programme validation / revalidation exercises;
d) To review and improve in-service training programmes in relation to Quality Assurance and Validation / Revalidation matters;
e) To coordinate with Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office, engineering departments and other relevant parties to arrange the schedule and logistics of the exercises, formation of panels and mock interviews;
f) To consolidate the responses from programme teams and relevant parties and prepare reports;
g) To carry out duties in relation to student activities and academic administration; and
h) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.
a) A relevant recognized degree in engineering related discipline or equivalent professional qualifications;
b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry / commercial work experience;
c) Solid work experience in the areas of quality assurance and accreditation matters;
d) Substantial experience in validation and / or revalidation process of Higher Diploma programmes, especially in engineering related areas;
e) Strong understanding of outcome-based approach and QF credit assignment;
f) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and
g) Knowledge in in-service training programme is preferable.

1) The post is in the rank of Lecturer.
2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.
3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or outside campus.
