Title : Sales Engineer (Presales)

Key Responsibilities include

  • Collaborate closely with account managers from the sales team to identify and drive projects towards successful closing
  • Single point of contact for involved technical and business stakeholders from customer / partner side with focus on service management and asset management
  • Responsible for driving both, business and technical conversations, addressed by our products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, etc
  • Customer-facing responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing and attending customer meetings and tailoring communications to address business needs of potential clients as part of the pre-sales process
  • Deliver effective product demonstrations to customers and prospects, if necessary tailored for their individual requirements
  • Preparing, conducting and summarizing technical Proof-of-Concept or pilot of our solutions
  • Assist in preparing and answering RFIs / RFPs
  • Prepare and assist at public events like trade shows, partner events, roadshows, user groups meetings, including the ability to act as a speaker in front of a larger audience
  • Being a technical representative of our software solutions, able to communicate complex IT dependencies in simplifying, clear words
  • Internal collaboration

  • Involve other specialists wherever necessary to successfully drive presales projects, including Support engineers or Development as well as a later project handover to Professional Services / partners
  • Responsible for providing feedback from the market to Product Management and Development regarding products including coordinating gaps between product functionality and market / customer demands.
  • Responsible for staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • BSCS or equivalent with 5+ years extensive working experience as an SE or system integrator, ideally a System Engineer / Pre-Sales role within a sales environment for a software vendor or an IT Provider.
  • Excellent knowledge and prior experience selling Endpoint Management and Mobile solutions such as Altiris, Microsoft, BigFix, Airwatch.
  • Knowledge of Security Software solutions such as Patch & Vulnerability Management.
  • Practical experience working with routing and switching products, including troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience of creating and delivering presentations to large and diverse audience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, often under duress.
  • Ability to create written documents to assist potential customers in preparing or summarizing activities within presales projects.
  • Team player and as a kind of project manager identifying gaps and pulling in necessary other resources to own and successfully drive presales projects.
  • You must demonstrate the effective transfer of thoughts and expresses ideas using speech and listening skills to influences others and gain support.
  • Able to travel and work effectively throughout the assigned territory.
