The Head of Asia Derivatives and Partnerships will be a key member of the Index Product Solutions Group (IPSG) with responsibility for driving the growth of two strategically important FTSE Russell index business segments in the Asia region.
As a member of IPSG you will join a high performance, global team within the FTSE Russell Product organization that consists of index product solutions experts focused on driving index adoption and ecosystem development globally across key client, product, and business segments.
The focus in the Derivatives business segment is working alongside our exchange partners on FTSE Russell index-based futures & options market development while the focus on the Partnerships segment is on collaborating with strategic partners on joint index product development and commercialization.
The role will involve all aspects of business management & development, relationship management and internal coordination across IPSG, Sales, Marketing, Product & Research in order to drive growth in the two business segments across the region.
Coordinate with key business stakeholders to set the strategic priorities for the Derivatives & Partnerships business segments in alignment with the broader business objectives and strategy
Develop and lead on execution of the regional Asia plan to drive growth in both business segments in collaboration with key internal and external business stakeholders
Develop specific strategic account plans to drive growth in line with the overall business objectives
Manage existing regional Exchange and Strategic Partner relationships on a day to day basis
Develop and execute on tactical sales, marketing and support plans to help drive sales, adoption and growth of our relationships with exchanges and Strategic Partners in the region
Identify and execute on opportunities to collaborate globally and regionally across IPSG to drive broader index adoption and ecosystem development
Develop new Exchange and Partnerships relationships where there is strategic alignment and commercial opportunity
Manage new product launches in coordination with clients, partners, and colleagues across relevant functions
Collaborate with regional sales teams to ensure the Derivatives and Partnership products have adequate sales support and that the sales teams are well versed in the value proposition and are maximising revenue potential
10+ years of experience in the financial services industry
MBA and / or CFA a plus
Strong knowledge of indexing and indexed financial products
Product expertise in listed derivatives, futures & options and / or OTC derivatives
Strong network among exchanges and market participants in the Asia region
Experienced at negotiating and closing complex commercial agreements
Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
Track record of working with senior colleagues and stakeholders in cross functional, global - teams to deliver results
Strong planning and execution skills
