Your field of responsibility

We offer an opportunity to work in a high-performing team delivering Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investment research.

Alongside the regional ESG lead analyst, you will work with sector and strategy teams to produce a range of thematic and company-specific reports that span secular, structural and tactical investment trends.

Along with producing high quality investment research, you will stay up to date with trends in the ESG space and advise clients on an ongoing basis.

You are expected to help maintain ESG datasets, build relationships with external and internal stakeholders, and facilitate events and corporate access.

Your skills and experience

  • 3 years or more experience in investment banking, management consulting or in an accounting firm, with a strong emphasis on data modelling and / or financial analysis / equity research.
  • Direct exposure to key ESG trends will be highly regarded but is not essential. Those with backgrounds in economics and / or stock level investment research, along with those with specific ESG domain expertise will be considered.
  • Understanding of equity markets, experience in initiating industry coverage, skills in fundamental analysis and valuation, advanced knowledge of excel as well as ability to generate strong investment ideas.
  • Holding a degree in a relevant subject area, with current or future CA / CFA holders being advantageous.
  • Good commercial acumen, communication, presentation, verbal and written skills in English, with Mandarin and Cantonese a plus but not essential.
  • Being dedicated, organized and able to prioritize plus working towards team / individual deadlines with a quality deliverable.
  • A strong analytical mind with numerical skills and attention to detail but also intellectually curious and a passion for thinking ahead, finding answers and problem solving.
  • Being able to work in Hong Kong and within a diverse team environment, cross collaborating with connected teams regionally and globally.
