VIAVI Solutions is looking to add a Corporate Tax Manager / Senior Manager in APAC to the team. This position will be responsible for a wide range APAC country provisions and compliance functions.
Opportunity exists for broad experience and growth in both the domestic and international tax area.
Job Description :
Tax Planning and restructuring in APAC to drive down US GAAP / Non-GAAP effective tax rate.
Prepare the annual tax APAC provisions and / or return to provision true up under the guidance of Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740), supporting work papers, account reconciliations and documentation related to APAC entities.
Oversee the preparation of APAC income tax returns workpapers including coordinating with outside tax providers.
Review APAC statutory financial statements (before filing) from a tax controversy and tax accounting perspective.
Prepare / oversee the transfer pricing local files and other local transfer pricing requirements for the APAC entities.
Calculate and arrange payment of estimated tax payments as required.
Manage income tax audits in APAC as needed.
Research and document relevant tax laws regarding positions taken on tax returns.
Monitor income company transfer pricing for the APAC region including reviewing departmental cross charges and other transfer pricing related activities.
Provide business support for supply chain related tax matters.
10 plus years public accounting experience and / or equivalent corporate income tax experience specializing in Chinese and other APAC country taxation;
Expertise in the application of ASC 740;
Must be Hands-on , with strong attention to detail and accuracy;
Ability to manage multiple complex assignments remotely and can work under pressure to meet reporting deadline;
Knowledgeable of the HK and Chinese tax systems
General knowledge of US GAAP, Statutory GAAP and SOX.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with Oracle, OBIEE, Essbase and SmartView helpful.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent required; Master’s Degree in Taxation is desirable.
