We are looking for high calibre to be responsible for the operational management of mid-size projects and ensure the overall project objectives are clearly defined and met.

These projects from a total cost perspective range from USD 1 to 5 millions and are characterized by medium complexity, medium change and communication elements and important business impact.

Your Role

  • Manage and implement the mid-size / medium complexity projects in full-cycle for General Insurance / Life Insurance Business
  • Identify, define, combine, unify and coordinate various projects management processes and activities necessary to deliver the project and to attain agreement on artifacts to be applied based on the circumstances and nature of the project
  • Support the sponsor in the setup of the project to ensure the business case is clearly defined, including estimation of required resources and funds, and relevant impacted stakeholders are engaged as part of the group evaluating the preferred solution
  • Be responsible for the resources allocation, trade-offs among competing objectives and alternatives, manage the interdependencies among the project management areas to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes
  • Develop the project plan at task level based on the agreed business case, manage and control project delivery in accordance with baseline parameters and standards to drive project success
  • Ensure timely and appropriate analyzing, planning, communicating, implementing, tracking, documenting and reporting of project information to enable effective decision making and successful project outcomes
  • Conduct risk management, planning, identification, analysis, response planning and controlling risk on a project to increase the likelihood and impact of positive events in the projects
  • Identify the people, groups and / or organizations that could impact or be impacted by the projects; understand and analyses their needs and expectations and their impact on the project, address issues as they occur, manage conflicting interests and develop appropriate management strategies for effective engagement of stakeholders in project decisions and execution
  • Your Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of Insurance experience, in which at least 4 years are relevant to project management
  • Qualification of Project Management is required
  • Knowledge of front-end systems will be an advantage
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good communication, presentation, analytical and influencing skills
