Assistant Manager (Student Housing)

High calibre candidates are invited to apply for the above position in the Student Housing & Residential Life Office (SHRLO) under the Dean of Students’ Office.

The appointee will provide administrative and logistic support to the facilities management as well as the hall admission teams of SHRLO.

Duties include vetting housing applications, organizing front-line staff training, assisting in the operation of off-campus housing services, and performing any other job related tasks as assigned by the Dean of Students or his delegates.

There will be much liaison work with internal departments, students, vendors, contractors, and landlords / property agents.

Working outside normal office hours may be required.

  • Applicants should have a recognized degree with at least 3 years or more relevant post-qualification work experience. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • strong organizational and problem solving skills; the ability to work independently and under pressure; as well as appropriate level of IT skills.

    Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview. (Duration : 2 years, renewable upon satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.)

    Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.

    A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
