Senior Manager, Business Banking Acquisition

Reporting to Head of Branches, you are responsible to lead and motivate Business Banking Acquisition Team to solicit SME business to achieve business and cross-selling targets.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop business plan, activities and sales strategies to meet business targets
  • Identify target SME segments and defining product / service needs for these segments
  • Strengthen SME sales mechanisms and sales force management
  • Assist bank in developing new distribution approaches and channels
  • Strengthen SME lending operations and loan processing
  • Closely monitor and analyze the SME loan portfolios
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs for SME staff
  • Manage the team through implementation of suitable job structures, competencies, performance standards, talent pipelines and working environment
  • Maintain the appropriate number and caliber of human resources in order to deliver exceptional service and achieve targets
  • Set performance expectations and conduct performance management evaluations proactively to ensure superior levels of performance are maintained
  • Recognize strong performance and proactively institute corrective action where performance is below par
  • Proactively manage poor performance in strict adherence to the Bank's performance management guidelines
  • Implement development programs to optimize competence, productivity and achievement of objectives
  • Work closely with Retail Credit Department and Banking Product Department in fine-tuning credit underwriting.Oversee credit proposal to Retail Credit Department prepared by staff
  • Support branches in SME and general banking business
  • Establish and implement effective referral mechanism with branches
  • Oversee the operation of the department and ensure such implementation meets regulatory and compliance requirements
  • To meet the challenge, you should have the following qualifications and attributes :

  • Degree holder with at least 8 years relevant experience in SME banking industry
  • Proven track record of achieving business and SME client portfolio growth, with a market reputation of being a trusted sector advisor on matters pertaining to lending
  • Professional licensing qualifications on IIQE papers 1-3 & 5
  • Solid knowledge of SME products, Retail Banking products and services
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to network, generate new business and develop strong business relations
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with demonstrated competences in champion of high performance management
  • Proactive, customer-oriented, forward looking and flexible
  • Sound credit sense and assessment skills
  • Team player and able to work under pressure
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
