Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks.
We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk / return decisions.
In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
To assess the debt restructuring request to determine an appropriate interest rate and loan tenor for the debtors who are facing financial difficulty but are willing and able to repay by restructuring their facilities and repayment structure
To ensure debt restructuring repayments, bankruptcy dividends and deceased recoveries are handled in a timely manner
To ensure operating activities and staff conducts are complied with the Bank and regulatory requirements
To resolve complaint cases
To access and approve the debt restructuring applications with appropriate terms and ensure the turn-around time are within the agreed timeline
To monitor and ensure payments / recoveries are processed in a timely manner
To liaise with leading banks or nominees on the restructuring terms
To negotiate with debtors on bankruptcy annulment
Minimum 7 year’s collection experience in consumer credit collection
University graduate or equivalent OR
Secondary education plus 7 years or above experience on consumer banking
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Good knowledge in DDRP, IVA, IDRP & Bankruptcy Handling
Knowledge of operation system, such as Debt Manager, Vision Plus, Finacle.
PC Knowledge : Excel, Access, Power Point, Word
Comply with guidelines / regulations laid down in the Code of Banking Practice, Code of Practice on Consumer Credit Data and HKMA Supervisory Policy Manual
