Team and Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager based in our Hong Kong office, you will be responsible for producing qualified prospects through a variety of sources, including current Adenza customers, prospective customers, leads from our CRM system, and our ongoing marketing campaigns.

You will manage a team of two direct reports in the Asia Pacific region and will oversee their business development activities along with all campaigns in the region.


  • You will be responsible to compile call lists from current customers, prospective customers from business directories, marketing campaigns, and leads from our CRM database, as well as other sources for use in prospecting.
  • Discover customer needs in terms of current business obstacles and identify sales opportunities.
  • Present and articulate product features, benefits, future product direction, and overall solutions.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • You will work closely with the head of Marketing in the region to design and implement a campaign strategy.
  • Provide feedback (prospect needs, industry trends, market perceptions, competitive intelligence, etc.) to both management and the company’s marketing team.
  • Manage multiple inside sales campaigns simultaneously.
  • Cold calling to uncover and qualify sales opportunities.
  • Keen to work across time zones across the world.
  • Potentiality to report on results and hit and exceed quarterly goals.
  • Skills and Requirements

  • A qualified BS or BA graduate, with 3 5 years of experience in business development or sales.
  • Demonstratable experience gained in prospecting and qualifying leads in an outbound environment.
  • Knowledge of LinkedIn as a sales and marketing tool is a plus but not required.
  • Keen to learn and understand product solutions and features.
  • Aptness to understand customers' industry and core business processes.
  • Good to have analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing skills.
  • Following special training of products and / or services to understand technical aspects of solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite. Salesforce would also be an advantage
  • Experience or interest in the financial industry.
