Ankura’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice is a full-service suite of cybersecurity and privacy solutions, regardless of industry or size.

Our global team of over 100 professionals includes former federal law enforcement personnel, in-house security experts, Big 4 consultants, federal regulators, threat intel and dark web experts, etc.

We have helped clients and partners for 10+ years across industries and geographies with the following services :

  • Incident Response, Intelligence, and Investigations.
  • End Point & Managed Detection & Response.
  • Technology, Privacy, and Cyber Risk Advisory.
  • The APAC Cyber Security & Privacy practice is growing and has ambitions to expand its capabilities from a strong base in incident response, intelligence and investigations into additional proactive security and managed detection & response services.

    The Managing Director will be a part of our Cyber Security & Data Privacy business. The Managing Director will help lead and grow the practice by selling, managing, and delivering across a variety of clients for our Reactive and Proactive service offering.

    Responsibilities :

  • Help lead and grow the firm across Cyber security & Data Privacy consulting practices, supporting private and commercial clients across a variety of industries
  • Develop proposals and engagement plans for client projects
  • Actively lead, manage, and provide executive-level oversight on projects
  • Utilize professional and personal network to identify new business opportunities
  • Participate in business development by building relationships with current and future clients
  • Lead new business pursuits including working with our marketing team to develop collateral and identify opportunities
  • Effectively communicate with clients regarding existing projects and upselling of additional services
  • Participate in externally facing events (conferences, webinars, etc.) representing Ankura and the Practice to increase market awareness
  • Work collaboratively with others in the practice and cross-functionally elsewhere in the firm on various initiatives
  • Provide strategic insights to leadership teams regarding market trends, service offerings, and staffing changes.
  • Manage our junior professionals in the performance of the work
  • Development and presentation of project output to key stakeholders, including Executive and Board Level individuals
  • Participate in the development of standard operating procedures and other practice initiatives
  • Quality review of deliverables and externally facing content
  • Collaborate with practice management to provide input into strategic initiatives
  • Requirements :

  • A strong technical background in computers, networks, applications and databases.
  • Demonstrate a strong technical competency and have solid experience in ISO, NIST and similar security frameworks.
  • Experience of working within a consulting environment both in Big Four and Mid-Tier consulting firms.
  • Experience working across international boundaries on cyber security projects in Ankura key office locations : Europe, USA, Middle East, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, India.
  • Experience leading client facing engagements and working with clients up to C-suite level
  • An exceptional people leader with a genuine interest and desire to develop and mentor junior team members.
  • Significant and proven experience of working on Cyber projects and developing associated response measures.
  • Proven strong people management skills. Ability to motivate, influence and develop a growing team
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Understanding of a wide range of information security and IT methodologies, principles, technologies and techniques.
  • Experience assessing against Security / Cybersecurity compliance and frameworks (ex. NIST, HIPAA, ISO, PCI, etc.)
  • Proven ability to deliver solution strategies and implementations to clients
  • Strong risk management, project management and communication skills
  • Functional understanding of Network Architecture, Design, and Security Best Practices
  • Strong attention to detail, possessing problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical reasoning skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills, to include detailed note taking abilities
  • Team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations

  • The following additional qualifications are preferred, but not essential :

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in related discipline or related certifications and experience to demonstrate credibility
  • CISSP, SANS, CISA, PMP, CISM, CISSP, and / or similar certification(s)
  • Technical experience of windows network architecture and design
  • Familiarity with NIST or ISO frameworks and / or risk assessment methodology
