A PhD / Master’s degree / good honours degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electronic Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science or related disciplines, with no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University.
Knowledge of and working experience in CAD, Prototype Development, 3D Printing, Hoist Device and Operation, Electronic Circuit Design and Testing, Programming of Micro-Processors / ROS are required.
Research experience in electronic design and development of robotic systems is preferred. Familiarity with embedded system, communications and interfacing with various hardware and software devices would be an advantage.
Candidates with a PhD and no more than 3 years’ experience after the award of a PhD degree may be considered for appointment as Postdoc.
Candidates with a PhD plus at least 3 years’ relevant research experience after the award of a PhD degree may be considered for appointment as Research Associate.
