Overseas Indian (OI) is a strategic business for HSBC, RBWM, and we are uniquely positioned to serve customers across the key Indian corridors such as UK, Canada, USA, MENA, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The OI business covers Non Resident Indians, Persons of Indian Origin / Overseas Citizens of India, as well as people living in India investing overseas e.

g. in property, education etc.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Wealth and Advisory, Overseas Indian Business

Principal responsibilities

  • Owner and partner of Wealth Product and Advisory strategy, leading its execution
  • Responsible for some of the most multifaceted needs of the OI customer Wealth Products (capital controlled), and related Advice and related Partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Group and India Wealth, as well as Compliance / Legal, Proposition / Product teams to deliver an end-
  • result that is relevant for the OI segment

  • Develop the Wealth and Advice proposition for OI customers and deliver growth in market share of OI segment by delivering business growth above underlying market growth in Wealth
  • Drive initiatives that require significant and advanced level of navigation and mobilizing in Wealth and Advice (tax related)
  • Lead external partnerships for Wealth and Advise services
  • Requirements

  • Retail Banking and Wealth Management with product development exposure, in particular in Wealth products related to Overseas Indian customers’ needs
  • Strong understanding and experience of providing Advice on Wealth within the framework of cross-border Regulations
  • Global exposure and previous experience with multi geography team management.
  • In depth exposure and experience with OI client segments across key HSBC markets
  • Results orientated with proven track record, self-directed, change leader, high energy and strong execution capabilities
  • Strategic thinker with strong customer centric, analytical and innovation mind set
  • Strong communication skills, good team player and stakeholder management
  • The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
