The job holder is responsible in developing and implementing engagement plan to proactive communicate Trust’s strategies to key stakeholders, especially the Club’s Voting Members, to reinforce the Club and its Charities Trust’s image, profile and voice leadership both locally and internationally, and gain stronger public profile and reputation as the biggest community benefactor in Hong Kong and one of the world’s top 10 Charitable Foundations.
In addition, the job holder will help manage acknowledgement matters of new and ongoing charity projects including TIPs.
He / She will collaborate with multiple divisions within the Club and other external stakeholders such as NGOs, academia, and government etc.
You will :
To work under the guidance of Head of Charities to design and implement strategic communications and stakeholder engagement strategy.
To plan and manage Trust’s signature events (e.g. Scholarship Dinner, Community Trophy Raceday, Riding High Together Festival Donation Announcement, and Philanthropy for Better Cities Forum).
To proactively plan and coordinate publicity matters, as well as organise events / activities with beneficiary organisations for Trust donated projects and Trust-Initiated Projects (TIPs) to secure the Trust’s branding and presence.
To work with NGOs partners and help build their communication capacities as required e.g. provide additional publicity and media engagement opportunities.
To provide coaching, guidance and support to staff to ensure effective implementation and mitigation of risks in particular.
To facilitate the preparation of relevant charities’ communication materials and prepare reports / necessary information for Trust-related publicity events or external engagement purposes (eg forums, workshops and seminars) such as messages, speeches and presentations.
To manage team’s budget and expense, as well as team’s operation and procurement exercises.
You will be :
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
At least 10 years of relevant experience in communications, publicity, events management and public affairs as well as a strong network with relevant stakeholders.
Relevant solid working experiences
Some exposure in social welfare matters in Hong Kong
Strong passion in community affairs and charities work
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
