Marketing Associate Director

Department overview :

The Marketing team is responsible for developing and managing marketing strategy, brand awareness and lead generation activity across all products, regions and functions.

This includes the delivery of sales and product support.

Position summary

The Associate Director, Marketing will support the Head of Marketing Financial Services (Director) in Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong.

He / she will be responsible for working with assigned product leads, sales and account management in the Financial Markets space.

The incumbent will support the development and execution of marketing plans, event logistics and tactics across business lines where applicable.

A strong marketing generalist with strong writing ability, the individual will contribute to the successful execution and follow up of multi-

touch campaigns. She / he will support assigned business areas with strategy and tactical activation. Namely these areas are legacy IPREO businesses recently acquired.

Primary, Private Capital Markets and Corporations divisions across APAC

Duties & accountabilities

Content marketing

  • Create copy with the stakeholders on priority themes. Draft short blogs if necessary and proof copy, edit and re-write copy to make it suitable for multiple delivery channels in English
  • Some Chinese editing and overseeing Chinese copywriters is preferred
  • Identify channels and distribution opportunities
  • Manage the development of digital campaign assets using Eloqua and other tools
  • Help with onboarding team with video technology and webinars etc.
  • Oversee inventory of collaterals printing and adaptation
  • Lead generation

  • Track and report on the performance of all tactics and campaigns using Salesforce dashboards and other metrics
  • Work with product marketing, product and sales to ensure campaigns are optimized and delivering on objectives
  • Able to use marketing operational tools

  • Able to use marketing operational tools - Eloqua email campaigns, Hootsuite, Sales Force campaign management, Webdam, On24 webinars, Studio content videos, Calendar Whizz,
  • Events

  • Support the development and execution of trade shows and hosted events
  • Order premiums help with design work on production of assets
  • Deploy a multi- touch strategy on event pre and post
  • Manage the promotion, invitation, production, logistics and event follow up process
  • Manage event budgets and expense tracking
  • Proactively partner with internal cross functional teams and outside vendors including marketing operations, creative services, central events, and social media.

    Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms ( and Eloqua preferred). Also, knowledge of using video and webinars

    Education and experience

    Knowledge of the financial services industry preferred with fintech and information vendor / provider

    4+ years of experience with a BA, BS or equivalent

    Outstanding written and spoken English

    Simplified & Traditional Chinese is also preferred but not a pre-requisite

    Extensive working knowledge of power-point, and excel

    Familiar with working in a matrix organisation in a global exposed role

    Commercial awareness

    Good understanding of global financial markets, current issues and competitive landscape. In particular regulatory solutions understanding middle office workflows preferred
