The Hong Kong Jockey Club's Information Technology & Sustainability (IT&S) Division drives the implementation of innovative technology solutions in horse racing and football wagering systems in order to deliver a premium service to our millions of customers.

We are currently seeking talented IT professionals with strong technical expertise to contribute to the significant strategic transformation which will allow IT&S to adapt to the changing digital workplace, improve customer experience and accelerate the delivery of new product offerings.
Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary IT teams, you will play an instrumental role in building a digital platform with modern state of the art technologies that will power all of the Club’s service and product distribution channels.
These channels include over 100 betting booths at racecourses, 102 Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), 4 call centers manned by 5000 plus Telebet operators, as well as multiple interactive online and mobile services.
It is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 3 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

You will :
Support application monitoring for React Native, Java, .NET, .NETCore and NodeJS application architectures.
Monitor the responsiveness and availability of critical websites, web applications and mobile applications from the end-user perspective.
Monitor, alert and report on the health and performance of project team applications.
Provide deep visibility of application performance for project teams.
Document information such as configuration, installation and user guides following process standards.
You should have :
University degree or above in Computer science or Engineering or equivalent.
Min 5 years of experience in supporting large scale enterprise applications.
Working experience on large scale software development experience, in particular online transaction processing system, and fast paced software development life cycle is preferred.
Proven proficiency with Application Monitoring Tools of large scale Applications (Java, .NET, .NETCore) .NET and NodeJS applications.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments such as Microsoft Azure / AzureStack, VMWare Tanzu, etc and monitoring tools such as BMC TrueSight, SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.
Solid experience with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Continuous Monitoring (CM) and Infrastructure Automation.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, application deployment and operations.
Knowledge of large scale deployment of Application Performance Monitoring solution.
Coding experience with Ruby and Python preferred.
Familiar with tools like Jenkins, Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket, BMC TrueSight, Elastic Stack, and other monitoring tools, etc.
Experience with Redhat Ansible or other configuration management tools.
Experience working with version control / repository server, i.e. Git and Artifactory.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An initial contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
