We work with colleagues in business linesand functions in four focus areas :
1. Capacity building : empower ourcolleagues both client-facing and in functions with knowledge and market trends to deepen their understanding of environmental, social and governance (ESG) business issuesthrough in-house workshops and bilateral training sessions.
2. Product Development : research a rangeof sectors and thematic focus areas, to help colleagues across CIB better assess risk, identify commercial opportunities anddevelop relevant sustainable financeproducts, using on science-based criteria that create measurable environmentaland social impacts alongsidecompetitive financial returns.
3. Regulatory & Standards : keep abreast of current and anticipated global, regional andnational sustainable finance regulationsand guidelines, as regulatory authorities raise the bar for sustainable finance at the national andregional APAC and at EU level.
4. Communications and branding : promotethe bank’s aims and achievements relating to sustainablefinance through support of external and internal communications andevents.
We work across the Asia Pacific region : in Japan,Greater China, Korea, India, ASEAN in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore,Thailand, and Vietnam as well as in Australia and New Zealand.
We focus on theimplications for our clients and our business relating to the climateemergency, and all aspects of the energy transition.
We are also aware of theneed for cross-cutting perspectives to manage inter-related systemic sector risksfacing our clients, touching water and the natural environment, livelihoods inthe natural and built space, energy transition, mobility and transport systems andhuman well-being.
Develop Sustainable Financebusiness initiatives through working with RMs and product teams on potentialsustainable finance products and services
Provide advice and assistanceto business on sustainable finance solutions and related documentation (e.g.sustainable bonds and loans, certification and reporting)
Attend relevant external forumsfor knowledge content and contact acquisition, and promote Group into theseforums
Distribute internally onknowledge acquired and client / business implications
Where beneficial, build internaland external partnerships (incl. industry associations) to develop platformsthat contribute to the goals of BNPP’s sustainable finance global positioning
Organization & Governance
Build regular communicationchannels within APAC, with key regional sustainable business keyrepresentatives and interact across and between regional and globalsustainability teams
Prepare and coordinate CIB APACSustainable Business Steerco agenda and content
Contribute to the preparationof the APAC contribution to quarterly CIB Global Sustainable Finance steerco
Build stronger bridges withEMEA and Americas Sustainability Champions, including Company EngagementDepartment and CSR teams
Work with Brand and Comms teamto assist delivery and management of content of Sustainable Future Forums incountries across APAC, and in regional events
Monitor market developments / trends in international and local regulatory and governance environmental,social policies, best practice and standards (e.
g. EU Sustainable FinanceAction Plan, TCFD, NGFS, etc.)
Propose new strategicactivities and product innovations (e.g. ideas for impact tools, solutions)
Produce thought leadership contenton emerging trends and business implications, e.g. carbon pricing, transition)
Contribute to Learning andDevelopment team on content, help develop and deliver relevant training contentfor colleague
Leverage deep technical expertiseto oversee content development and organize and conduct capacity buildingworkshops, webinars and other events for finance sector stakeholders onsustainable finance and ESG issues / trends
Contribute to the developmentand roll-out of CSR Screening and CSRevolution in APAC
Relevant educationalqualifications, Master’s degree preferred, in relevant field
Minimum 3 years workingexperience in sustainable / development finance, corporate sustainability, orclimate / environmental policy

Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills
