We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Actuarial Manager Economic Capital.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support the Actuarial Manager in the Economic Capital team in delivering the monthly economic capital reporting
  • Provide analysis of movement of key EC metric within HSIC’s risk appetite statement Analysis of the Economic Capital results
  • Assist in embedding Economic Capital in day-to-day business decisions
  • Assist in the development of reporting basis in accordance to the group and industry practice
  • Maintenance of a robust control structure and documentation
  • Qualifications

  • University degree in a quantitative subject with professional qualifications in actuarial sciences
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with proven exposure in reporting processes and the reporting control environment
  • Knowledge of industry good practice and regulations such as Solvency II around economic capital is a plus
  • Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of planning and problem solving
  • Strong self-motivation with ability of working effectively under pressure and commitment to process improvements
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
