Currently we are looking for a capable and independent individual for the following position as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities :
Lead and drive the Health & Safety function strategies and related activities for the East Asia region
Develop an improvement culture across the region to ensure a healthy, safe and accident-free working environment
Ensure proper verification for effective, efficient and reliable health and safety management system performance at all locations including sites
Lead and supervise region Health & Safety teams
Implement the corporate guidelines, policies and management system
Act as a key investigation officer when serious incident happens, in order to find out the root cause and prepare the remedial action plan, and follow up the associated actions
Manage emergency response plan to deal with emergency situations for the safety and health of employees and those working for the firm
Assist in preparing regular Health & Safety performance reports for management review of the past performances and the progresses of improvement initiatives
Develop and implement all rounded trainings, workshops, good practices
Monitor and report the KPIs for the region
Prepare corporate Health & Safety reports and statistics for the region and present the reports to the boards and executives
Qualifications & Experience required :
Degree or above in Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related disciplines
At least 12 years of experience in safety management, preferable in construction industry
Regional experience and working in multi-national corporations will be advantages
Solid experience in the implementation of corporate policies, procedures and guidelines
In depth knowledge and recognized qualifications in safety management, including qualifications such as ISO 45001 or equivalent
Willing to drive changes and make actionable improvement plan
Hands-on and practical with good organizational, communication and presentation skills
Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment
Willing to travel within East Asia
Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese
