Job responsibilities

  • Understand the market, consumers and their life at home and use the information to actively promote membership to IKEA FAMILY.
  • Lead the team to identify the relevant product, service offers and inspiration which will attract new membership (Recruit) and encourage the existing core customers to shop more frequently (Retain and Develop)
  • Work closely together with the Loyalty Program Marketing Leader to develop the contact strategy for FAMILY members and monitor the effectiveness of the FAMILY media mix
  • Lead and manage the team and work with the Commercial Team (CT), eCommerce and Store to optimize the number of customers revisiting our sales channels, stay with us longer as well as convert more visitors into FAMILY members in order to increase sales and profitability
  • Lead and manage my team to develop tools for local marketing for the stores in their PMA (opening new stores, rebuildings, geographic customer segmentation, market analysis of local market stores)
  • Provide an inspiring and motivating direction for the team and engage them fully in the tasks of becoming leaders in life at home and generating sales growth
  • Work with my team to set the IKEA FAMILY goals. These are based on the IKEA objectives, increasing store traffic, expanding our customer base and encouraging existing customers to visit stores more often
  • Work together with the Stores to create activities and offers that demonstrate our commitment to care for and reward our core customers, ensuring that they want to stay with us over time
  • Job requirements

  • Degree Holder in Marketing, Communication or related disciplines
  • 8 Yrs+ solid marketing experience of working in other retail company experience in taking commercial decisions based on local market information
  • Solid experience of working with CRM or loyalty programs
  • Ability of adapting to different styles of working to get the best out of a team (situational leadership) and capacity to identify and develop qualified people
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain an effective network
  • Self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Deep interest in people’s everyday life at home and in home furnishing
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English (both written and spoken)
