Provide compliance advice, interpretation and recommendations on regulations and policies to Institutional Banking Group ( IBG ) on day-
to-day operation as well as new products and business initiatives.
Work closely with Business Units (BUs) and other compliance teams to establish and implement appropriate compliance policies and procedures, particular on those relevant to IBG.
Handle compliance and regulatory assignments such as complaint handling, regulatory enquiries, regulatory examination and other ad hoc project.
Assess training needs and conduct compliance related training for IBG BUs.
Act as the main interface and foster good relations with BUs and various regulatory authorities.
Work with relevant BUs to ensure that compliance Issues within IBG is being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
A degree in Law, Finance, Accountancy or related professional qualifications is a definite advantage
Minimum 4 years’ experience in compliance, legal or audit department of a bank or licensed financial institution; or relevant financial supervisory body;
or a professional legal or audit / accountancy firm with experience in banking or financial services
Hands-on knowledge on banking and financial sector laws and regulations, compliance best practices, as well as products and operations of corporate banking business.
Priority will be given to candidates with compliance experience in corporate banking field.
Ability to build rapport and trust with BU / SUs while maintaining independent compliance judgment
Ability to identify problems, recommend solutions and make timely escalation to management as appropriate.
